This work is from a large group of works depicting the artist and model, a theme that fascinated Picasso for the last twenty years of his life. Among the images of the painter depicted in these works, one is shown still holding his brush as he makes love to a model in the nude. Here the artist does not include an image of himself and the whole surface is covered with a wealth of scribbled strokes which ably convey Picasso's tenacity. (Source: The Digital Gallery. 1999-2006)
