『カリカチュラーナ』：（24）株式営業中のキャブリオレ馬車「調子が悪いよ、馬は弱っちまって、ただ飯食わしてる分、おれは飢え死にしちまうよ」「かわいそうなベルトラン、おまえはどうしようもねえ阿呆だな。おまえの役立たずの駄馬をサラブレッドと交換して、1200フランのぼろ馬車はチルビュリーに交換する。そのみすぼらしいお仕着せはジョッキーの上着に換え、そいつを株式で営業させるんだ・・・資本はさーん十万フラン！ でっかくやろうぜ、でたらめばかりで出費をめちゃくちゃ増やして、儲けを減らすんだ。なーに、数で埋め合わせすりゃいいんだ」「数ってなんの？」「株券の数だろうが、このまぬけめ！」 <Caricaturana>: (24) Cabs as stocks: It's not going well, my horse is failing, expenses consume me, I'm dying of hunger. — My poor Bertrand, how stupid you are!
