G. Boerner, Leipzig, 9 April 1894 (and following days), lot 410; P. Gellatly (1831-1912), Essex and London (Luft 1185); presumably his sale, H. G. Gutekunst, Stuttgart, 13-18 May 1911; L. J. Rosenwald (b. 1891), Philadelphia (Luft 1760b); given to the National Gallery of Art, Washington, in 1943; National Gallery of Art, Washington (Luft 1932d), with their duplicate stamp; Initials HR in a circle (not in Lugt).
