『中国を旅すれば』:(2) 旅券 中国を訪れる外国人は絶対必要不可欠な手つづきに従わせられる。用紙を渡され、そこに自分がそう見られたい年齢や、やっていると称してる職業や、生まれたと決めつけて悦に入れそうな場所を記入する。それが全部終わるとこんどはだれにでも当てはまるような特徴の詳細な記述がだらだらとあって、それやこれやののちに、2フランの心づけにもかかわらず、中国政府はありがた迷惑にもその外国人に援助と手助けを1年間、貸付けてくれようとみなしてくれる
