キリストを抱いて悲しみに暮れるマリアを、聖ヨハネや聖女が優しく支えている（《哀悼》G.2000-0033）。キリストの遺体は石棺に納められるが（《埋葬》、G.2000-0034）、その魂は肉体を離れて黄泉に下った（《冥府への降下》G.2000-0035）。キリストが手を取るのはアダム、傍らに立つ女性はエヴァであろう。奥にはいにしえの預言者たちが控えている。キリストは彼らの魂を死から解放して天国へ導いた。そして、死の3日後、キリストは復活を遂げる（《復活》G.2000-0036）。棺を取り囲むのは、見張りの兵士たちであり、画面奥、墓所の入り口には、キリストの遺骸を清めるために来た聖女たちの姿も描かれている。(出典: クラインマイスター：16世紀前半ドイツにおける小画面の版画家たち, 2012.
