イバラの冠を被らされ、さらに痛めつけられるキリスト（《荊冠を受けるキリスト》G.2000-0025）。ピラトはキリストを群衆の前に引き出し、彼を有罪とする根拠がないことを示そうとした（《この人を見よ》G.2000-0026）。ピラトは壇上に立ち、傍らのキリストを指している。しかし結局、キリストを死刑にせよという群衆の要求に屈してしまったピラト。彼は手を洗うことで、この決定に自らの責任がないことを象徴的に主張している（《手を洗うピラト》G.2000-0027）。こうして死刑判決を受けたキリストは、ゴルゴタの丘の刑場へ重い十字架を担っていった（《十字架を担うキリスト》G.2000-0028）。(出典: クラインマイスター：16世紀前半ドイツにおける小画面の版画家たち, 2012.
